I wanted to share with you all some information about some upcoming MCYD events.

 

The first 5K of the MCYD walk/run team is this Saturday in Miamisburg. We will be running/walking the Cancer Crush 5K and wearing shirts for Miamisburg Municipal Judge candidate John Ebersole! I apologize for not sending the information out before the online registration deadline, but you can still register the morning of the race (like me) for $15 from 8am-8:45am. Proceeds go to the Southbrook Cancer Hope Ministry. Please see the attached registration form for more information. If you would like to run/walk Saturday, please let me know with what shirt size you wear.

 

Don't forget, Saturday, June 18th MCYD will be hosting the Ohio Young Democrats Summer meeting at the University of Dayton from 11am-5pm. There will be young dems coming to Dayton from around the state! The meeting will be held in the Kennedy Union and you should park in lot C. We have several interesting items on the agenda so far which include information about the OYD Run 2011 Program, sustaining chapter membership, fundraising, and a session about messaging with Fred Strahorn from the Ohio Democratic Party. Following the meeting, there will be a fundraiser for MCYD and OYD at the Trolley Stop in the Oregon District from 5-7pm. Former State Auditor Candidate David Pepper will be in attendance! The donation is $10 and heavy appetizers and beer/wine/soda will be provided. Please RSVP to me at gen.c.murphy@gmail.com if you plan to attend for planning purposes. There will also be SB5 petitions there to sign. There is a flyer attached, please spread the word and bring your friends.
