Am I eligable to donate to the Montgomery County Young Democrats?

In order to donate to the Montgomery County Young Democrats all of the following statements must be true:

1. This contribution is made on a personal credit or debit card for which I have the legal obligation to pay, and is made neither on a corporate or business entity card nor on the card of another.
2. I am a United States citizen or a lawfully-admitted permanent resident.
3. I am making this contribution with my own personal funds, and I will not be reimbursed by anyone for this contribution.
4. I am not a federal government contractor.
5. If under 18: I am contributing knowingly and voluntarily with my own funds and am above the age of 13.

How much can I donate?

You may make contributions of up to $5,000 per calendar year to the Montgomery County Young Democrats PAC.

What will you do with my contribution/credit card information?

Your credit card information will be used only for this transaction through PayPal.com's secure online payment system. Montgomery County Young Democrats PAC does not retain credit card information or transmit credit card information to candidate committees. However, federal law requires us to report the name, address, occupation, and employer for each Montgomery County Young Democrats PAC contributor who gives more than $200 during each calendar year to the Federal Election Commission.

Why are you asking about my occupation and employer?

FEC regulations require that we collect certain information from our donors. In addition to a donor's name and address, we are also required to provide employers and occupations for all donors.

May any of my donation information be made public in the FEC's reports?

Yes. Anyone who makes a donation larger than $200 to our organization is required to have his or her donation itemized in the FEC report. The FEC then makes public these donors' names, donation amounts, zip codes, employers, and occupations.

Do you use this information collect for any other reason?

We collect the information to comply with FEC regulations, but do not sell or otherwise distribute any piece of information about any of our donors. We may use your provided contact information to inform you of upcoming events, however we do not retain any credit card or financial information about you.
