Dear Young Democrat,

In between your surprise visits to Baghdad and your phone calls to Italy, I hope you’ll contemplate the following:

• Let Us Buy You a Drink.  This month’s meeting of the Montgomery County Young Democrats has been rescheduled, relocated, repurposed and retrained.  Please join us for a happy hour next Friday, April 17^th at 5:30 pm at The Trolley Stop, 530 E. 5^th St. in the Oregon District.  If weather permits, we’ll be on the patio.  Free beer will be provided for Young Democrats.

• As Seen On TV.  If you watched Channel 2’s Dayton & Beyond this past Sunday (I did!), you learned about the efforts of updayton and their upcoming summit on April 18th.  To attend, register online here and then tell us about it – we’ll reimburse Young Democrats who register for the registration fee.

• Nowhere Near TV.  The annual convention of the Ohio Young Democrats will take place on April 18^th.  If you’re interested in attending, please contact me.

• Old Business.  Kudos to John Jones, Jennifer Denslow, and me, who were elected to the offices of Treasurer, Second Vice President, and President, respectively, at the last MCYD meeting.  Extra special kudos to our outgoing Treasurer, Tony Ballis, for all of the outstanding work he’s done for the Montgomery County Young Democrats.
