Dear Young Democrat,

As is usually the case when I write, there is good news and bad news.  Also, as expected, there is MCYD news:

ITEM:  Volunteers are needed to help Mayor Rhine McLin’s re-election campaign.  Young Dems are encouraged to join the campaign and to help with phone-banking starting next week.  To get involved, or to get more details, please see the message from Gen Murphy at the end of this e-mail.

ITEM:  This year’s staging of the annual mini-golf outing, The Junior Jackass Classic, will take place on Tuesday, August 25, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Hazzards Miniature Golf, 6240 Brandt Pike in Huber Heights (you can find directions on how to get there from here).  The cost is $15 per person or $25 per family and admission will get you one round of miniature golf, a hot dog, and a beverage.  All Young Dems are invited and encouraged to attend.

ITEM:  Show your support for Mayor Rhine McLin by voting in this online poll.

ITEM:  There will be no official MCYD Happy Hour this month.  Instead, please plan to do your political socializing at the Junior Jackass Classic.

Hello!

As the summer comes close to an end our campaign events are just beginning to heat up! We will start phone-banking next week (August 10^th)  for Mayor Rhine McLin’s campaign at democratic headquarters, located at 131 S Wilkinson Street. We will be phone-banking every Monday-Thursday from 1:00-4:00pm and 4:00-8:00 pm. If you have never helped with phone-banking before, it is easy and fun, and there will be others here to work with you.

If you are interested in coming in to help make calls, please email me back or call me at headquarters to let me know which day and time you will be here. Feel free to bring friends or family to help out-the more the merrier!
