Hello young democrats,

 

Before I mention some upcoming opportunities, I want to remind you all that the primary election will be held on March 6th this year. While the Republicans get to choose between Newt, Mitt, Ron and Rick, on our side President Obama and Senator Brown do not face any primary opposition, however it would be great to give them as many votes as possible in the primary. However, we do have some contested races here locally.

 

Last night, the County Party endorsed Sharon Neuhardt for the 10th congressional district. If Sharon is successful on March 6th, she will take on Mike Turner. You may have heard of Sharon back in 2008 when she took on Steve Austria in the former 7th congressional district. You can learn more about her here: http://www.neuhardtforcongress.com/

 

The Party has also made an endorsement in the race for a seat on the 2nd District Court of Appeals. Carley Ingram, has been endorsed. Her campaign is looking for help putting up yard signs this weekend. If you can help, please contact Mark Cunningham at 937-829-3615. 

 

Early voting is going on now, and you can also request an absentee ballot. To request a ballot, or to find out about early voting hours, call the Board of Elections at 225-5656.

 

Lastly, we will have a young dems happy hour on Wednesday, February 29th at the Trolley Stop (on 5th street in the Oregon District) from 5:30-7:30pm. Hope to see you all there!
